Colony Park Boulevard plans part of new interchange work
A road connecting Highland Colony Parkway to McClellan Drive in Ridgeland will be part of a $150 million interchange project and will give the city a third east-west corridor to I-55, officials said. “We’re doing the engineering and different environmental stuff right now,” Ward 1 Alderman Ken Heard said. “Colony Park Boulevard will go all the way from Highland Colony Parkway to McClellan Drive, which basically goes to Old Canton Road. That’s a super east-west corridor.”....

Lake Harbour Drive extension project waiting on federal funds
An extension of Lake Harbour Drive would link the Ridgeland thoroughfare to Highland Colony Parkway if federal funding continues to be allocated for the project, city officials said. “We started talking about the possibility of this flyover bridge roughly six years ago,” Ward 1 Alderman Ken Heard said. “We threw this idea to Washington and got some earmark funding at least for the design. It would give us another east-west corridor.”....

Work on Harbor Walk, area now under way
While crews are sculpting Harbor Walk's $1.3 million Harbor Station building, set to open in May, the city of Ridgeland will be sprucing up nearby Harbor Drive.The Mississippi Development Authority has given the city the funds for the $200,000 landscaping and irrigation project. Harbor Walk, a $750 million mixed-use development, is expected to open the $1.3 million Harbor Station building in May....

Lake Harbour Drive Reconstruction Project
The next roadway scheduled for widening is Lake Harbour Drive. There is a distinct need for increased capacity on Lake Harbour Drive from Northpark Drive to Highway 51. The portion of Lake Harbour east of Northpark Drive was widened years ago. From Northpark Drive west to Highway 51, Lake Harbour Drive will be widened to five lanes.

Harbor Drive reopens
Signs marking the closure of Harbor Drive were still in place Thursday morning, but for the first time in more than a year the road was open to regular traffic. "We are very glad to see the road reopened," said Alice Brown, manager of Cock of the Walk restaurant. "It gives our customers a much easier access to the restaurant.”....

It’s a sign that something exciting is happening.   When the signs for Harbor Walk go up, they’ll be unlike anything seen in this area.  “I saw the signs at Newport Harbor and knew that’s what we wanted for Harbor Walk,” said John Burwell.  “We had to track down the sign maker–he wasn’t listed anywhere.”....

Developer aims for good first impression
Construction will begin soon on the "first impression" of Harbor Walk. Developers say the lease for the latest marina project has been approved. Developer John Burwell said Harbor Station, which will be constructed near Phillip's on the Reservoir restaurant, will have a convenience store, café, fuel dock and office space...

The brand new Craftsmen's Guild is now open across the street from Harbor Walk. The center already has events booked well into next year (bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the area).
